Efficiency Statement
We recognise our responsibilities to deliver efficient services on behalf of the people of Scotland.
In the financial year 2010/11, National Services Scotland exceeded the 2% efficient government target. The total efficiencies for the financial year were £7.1m against the target of £5.5m. This was achieved through a number of efficiency initiatives across all our divisions, while continuing to deliver a high standard of service to public and other NHS bodies.
We contributed an additional £66.4m in savings on behalf of NHSScotland in 2010/11. This has been achieved through a number of national services including screening programmes, procurement and logistics services.
