We play a key role in leading the fight against Healthcare Associated Infections (HAI) across Scotland:

Our Health Protection Scotland division carries out high-level surveillance and co-ordinates and supports outbreak responses nationwide. It also develops guidance on issues like hand hygiene, which help NHS Boards to reduce avoidable infections.
Our Health Facilities Scotland division ensures compliance with national cleaning standards, looking at cleaning methods, frequencies and protocols across NHSScotland. It also works with Boards on any improvement plans that are required as a result.
