Health Support Services
NSS's Health Support Group provides a range of national and specialist health support services that enable NHS Boards to focus their efforts on delivering health improvement and patient care. These services include:
- Supplying blood, tissue and bone;
- Commissioning national screening programmes and specialist clinical services;
- Providing advice on the healthcare environment and equipment;
- Monitoring hazards and exposures affecting people's health;
- Coordinating health protection activity;
- Ensuring the safety of healthcare equipment;
- Collecting and analysing health information.
