Adjusting your browser text size
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 7.0
- Open your Internet Explorer web browser
- Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the browser marked "View"
- A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose "Text Size"
- Next another drop down menu should appear with options including "small", "medium", "large", "largest"
- Select "largest"
Netscape 6.2, 7.0 and 8.1
- Open your Netscape browser
- Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and press the plus ( + ) key
- You will find that this will enlarge the text - to enlarge again repeat the procedure
- Keep repeating until the text is enlarged to your requirements
- If you need to make the text smaller press ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key
Mozilla Firefox 1.5, 2.0
- Open your Firefox browser
- Hold down the Ctrl button on your keyboard and press the plus ( + ) key
- You will find that this will enlarge the text - to enlarge again repeat the procedure
- Keep repeating until the text is enlarged to your requirements
- If you need to make the text smaller press ctrl on your keyboard and the minus ( - ) key
Apple Safari 1.2 and 2.0
- Open your Apple Safari browser
- Hold down the Apple Key and press the ( + ) key
- You will find that this will enlarge the text - to enlarge again repeat the procedure
- Keep repeating until the text is enlarged to your requirements
- If you need to make the text smaller press the Apple Key on your keyboard and press the ( - ) key
Turning Javascript on or off
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.0, 5.5, 6.0 and 7.0
- Open your Internet Explorer web browser
- Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the browser marked "Tools"
- A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose "Internet Options .."
- The "Internet Options" window opens. From the tabs along the top, click "Security"
- Select the "Internet" zone icon (a globe) and in the box marked "Security level for this zone" click the button "Custom Level .."
- The "Security Settings" window opens. Scroll down to "Scripting" and "Active Scripting"
- There are 3 radio buttons labelled "Enable", "Disable" and "Prompt". Click "Enable" to turn on Javascript, or "Disable" to turn off Javascript
- Click Ok to close the "Security Settings" window
- Click Ok to close the "Internet Options" window
- Refresh the page to allow the new settings to take effect
Mozilla Firefox 1.5, 2.0
- Open your Firefox browser
- Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the browser marked "Tools"
- A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose "Options .."
- The "Options" window opens. Select the "Content" icon (a globe)
- To turn on Javascript, tick the box marked "Enable Javascript"
- Click Ok to close the "Options" window
- Refresh the page to allow the new settings to take effect
Apple Safari 1.2 and 2.0
- Open your Apple Safari browser
- Choose the drop down menu at the top of the window of the browser marked "Edit"
- A list of options will appear in the drop down menu, choose "Preferences .."
- The "Preferences" window opens. Select the "Security" icon (a padlock)
- To turn on Javascript, tick the box marked "Enable JavaScript"
- Click the X in the top right-hand corner to close the "Preferences" window
- Refresh the page to allow the new settings to take effect
